“True friendship trusts the soul to find the light, to loosen one pebble in the wall and open the way to freedom.”

– John O’Donohue, Eternal Echoes

I believe that the therapeutic relationship provides a safe and non-judgmental place to become more aware of how we relate to others, as well as about how we take care of ourselves. Life can be extremely confusing and overwhelming at times. My hope is that my genuine approach to therapy can bring you more clarity, self-awareness and hope for change.

My clinical specialties include helping people process life transitions, working through communication & relationship issues, treating anxiety, depression, OCD, phobias, PTSD, and developmental trauma. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and I utilize this modality to help people heal their brains and bodies from past traumatic experiences. Out of my deep love for animals, I have developed a passion for pet loss counseling and helping people process their grief after the loss of a cherished animal companion.

I received my MA in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology in 2013 and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Illinois. Additionally, I am Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Colorado. My counseling background includes working with adults, children, adolescents, and families. I believe in using an integrative approach that takes the uniqueness of each client I see into consideration. I will work with you to learn new skills and help you develop ways to think about your life that promote harmony with yourself and others. I typically draw from the psychodynamic and client-centered approaches, while also utilizing EMDR, other trauma-informed approaches, and brain science to help you on your path to healing.
