I focus my work around female adolescent and young adult issues. Teen and young adult issues are often complex and nuanced. But I’ve found that making a genuine connection with a young person is such a joy for me. I’m passionate about cultivating a compassionate and safe counseling relationship. If you’re seeking treatment for your teenager, I find that involving the parents as often as is appropriate brings the best long-term prognosis for my teen clients. I enjoy empowering parents to find effective tools to support their teens who are having difficulty coping with life, whether it be treatment for self-injury behaviors, social concerns/bullying, or working with a young person to build assertiveness training.

If there is spiritual or religious abuse in your past, I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to express doubts, pain and anger, for teens and adult clients. If you’re seeking spiritual answers or are plagued with guilt or doubt, let’s explore the hard questions and find healing.

Additionally, helping adolescent and adult clients explore their personality using the clinically renowned test, The Enneagram, is one of my clinical passions. So, if you’re curious about discovering how your personality drives your fears, desires, and patterns of behaviors, this test is for you!

I have worked extensively with eating disorders, including Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa, in both the male and female population, using DBT, ACT, Narrative Therapy, and intuitive eating models.

I use ACT and DBT to manage depression, anxiety, and trauma. I provide treatment for clients who have been sexual abused, and these include: those who have been sexually assaulted, raped, molested or harassed.

I love using humor, mindfulness practices and spirituality in my therapy sessions. Let’s think and plan for long term healing for you, not simply short-term symptom maintenance. Healing is possible.
