Rebecca Palmer

LCSW, Psychotherapist

I believe deeply in the power of therapy, and the ability of individuals to enter into emotional health and wellness. In my practice, I want to build a safe environment where clients and I can enter into a therapeutic relationship that helps them achieve their personal goals.

I use a strengths-based and holistic approach to help individuals uncover their internal resources to achieve inner healing and enter into improved relationships. Because each person is unique, I use an integrated approach to therapy, drawing on various models depending on what best meets my client’s needs.  I’m certified in CBT, and trauma-focused CBT, and I also draw on Internal Family System (IFS) practices.  I have experience working with loss and trauma, mood disorders, difficult transitions, anxiety, depression, child and adolescent development, and parenting issues. I have worked with individuals, couples, and families. I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults, but am interested in working with individuals of all ages.

I received my Master’s of Social Work from the University of Michigan in 2007, and have practiced as an LCSW since 2009.
