Pronouns: She/Her
Life is filled with complexities and we all deserve a safe and nonjudgemental space where we can find support, clarity, and growth. I enjoy connecting with people from all backgrounds as they bravely share their stories and would consider it an honor to be a part of your journey toward wellness.
Currently, I am a graduate student at Northwestern University, completing a Master of Arts in Counseling. Previously, my professional background, for over 20 years, has involved leadership in community development, human services, youth development, spiritual formation, and advocacy. This has given me extensive experience navigating complex interpersonal dynamics and supporting individuals through profound life transitions. Also, my role as a parent of adult children has given me experience supporting people through the many stages, phases and challenges of family dynamics.
Therapeutically, I aim to work collaboratively with clients using an integrative approach that is psychodynamic, person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. I strive to build strong, authentic therapeutic relationships characterized by deep empathy, and an encouraging presence that allows clients to explore the places in their life where they feel stuck or dissatisfied. I am deeply committed to cultural humility and social justice andI have been an advocate for human rights throughout my career. I am dedicated to maintaining an inclusive, non-judgmental space that welcomes and empowers clients from all cultural backgrounds, ethnicities, gender identities, ages, sexual orientations, and socioeconomic statuses.
